Do You Have Questions?
Perhaps you have questions about the church or about the Bible or about what
it takes to be a Christian. We'd be glad to try to answer them. We're always
striving to grow spiritually. The only way to do that is by constantly studying
God's word. We may not have all the answers, but God does. His word is our
"Owner's Manual". After all, He created us, so who is better equipped to guide us
on our journey through life. He has given us His word as our guide. Don't take
our word for this. 2 Peter 1:21 tells us, "For prophecy never had its origin in the
will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy
Spirit." You see, the word of God is infallible, because it was "God-breathed."
God speaks to us, even today, through the pages of his word. That word tells us
that we all have sin in our lives. Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned, and fall short
of the glory of God." But, that word also tells us that we have a Savior. "But if we
walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and
the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." 1 John 1:7. To take
advantage of the saving power of Jesus' blood, we must turn from our sinful life,
be baptized as Peter told his listeners in Acts 2:38, and "walk in the light." That
doesn't mean we won't make mistakes as Christians. But, Jesus' blood
continually cleanses us from sin if we walk in the light, asking God's forgiveness
when we make mistakes, and don't make the sinful life our way of life.
